Jay Stephens

Jay Stephens is a Canadian cartoonist. He is best known as the creator of Discovery Kidss animated television series Tutenstein and Cartoon Networks The Secret Saturdays. Stephens has also worked on an animation project JetCat which aired on Nickelodeons KaBlam for the series third and final seasons, with only four shorts produced. Before creating Tutenstein, Jay created several comics, including Land of Nod, Oddville, and Chick amp Dee . He currently lives in Guelph, Ontario. Tutenstein was actually based on a character he used for the JetCat comics. On June 28, 2010, Stephens launched a comic strip called Oh, Brother with Slylock Fox creator Bob Weber, Jr. Oh, Brother ended in 2011. He is good friends with stopmotion animators Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski, where they give thanks to him for their awardwinning short, Madame TutliPutli.
